Pattern of Road Traffic Accident Cases Attending in the Emergency Department of Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College and Hospital, Bangladesh.

Objective: To evaluate the pattern of Road Traffic Accident cases attending Emergency Department Khwaja Yunus Ali Medical College & Hospital (KYAMCH), Enayetpur, Sirajganj. Materials and Methods: This cross-sectional study was carried out at emergency department hospital Sirajganj from January’21 to June’21. Total 148 (RTA) were collected by using a pre-designed format register/ records book, for study. Results: During majority (73.65 %) male 58 (39.19%) patients belong above 40 years age, In age group (29.73%) (9.45%) female. The (29.05%) had only soft tissue injury (Abrasion/Bruise/Laceration), followed (27.02%) lower limb fracture dislocation, (17.58%) patient upper Fracture dislocation,( 19.59%) head injury,( 4.05%) both fracture, (1.35%) spinal cord another injury. accident common vehicle Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) Auto-rickshaw (28.38%) Motorcycle (22.97%), 15.54% due Auto rickshaw/ van, 8.78% Bi-cycle, 9.46% others. Besides that, management given according requirements where surgical intervention required in most cases, 64.87%, whereas Intensive care unit (ICU) support 6.08 % referred 8.11%, Patient refused take treatment 10.13% cases. Conclusion: From our we can say (Abrasion/ Bruise/ Laceration) found road traffic patients, CNG prominent source this area, may be these are main transportation rural area. Moreover, recommendations world report on prevention should considered promptly implemented. awareness among users administrators about travel discipline very high order curb ever-rising epidemic accidents.
